For four days, a selection of Toronto’s contemporary art galleries and project spaces open their doors to the public to present amazing exhibitions with special programming and extended hours. This is the perfect time to discover numerous exhibitions and to meet and exchange with gallery owners, artists and other important players in the art world. Throughout the weekend, enjoy a wide range of free special activities: discussions, guided tours, openings, talks, brunches, publication launches, creative workshops and much more!
Gallery Weekend Toronto is made up of three routes: Dupont / Junction, Wallace / Dundas, and Lower Toronto. Each route will take you to a number of galleries and will allow you to explore the city as you discover outstanding exhibitions and artists.
Thursday and Friday: noon to 7 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: noon to 5 p.m.
Gallery Weekend is an international event presented in the world’s major cities: Berlin, Paris, London, Brussels, Chicago, Warsaw, Beijing, Budapest, Mexico City, Milan, Barcelona, Madrid, Santiago, and many more. This is the fourth year that The Contemporary Art Galleries Association has participated in this international trend by hosting weekends in both Montreal and Toronto.
