Franz Kaka is proud to present Ghost, a solo exhibition by Canadian painter Jennifer Carvalho (b. 1980 Hamilton, Canada). The exhibition extends Carvalho’s ongoing investigation of the ways in which the present is shaped by images from the past and builds upon critically acclaimed solo exhibitions with Helena Anrather in 2021 and 2023 (New York, US) and recent group exhibitions with Harper’s (East Hampton, US) Helena Anrather, eyes never sleep, and Venus Over Manhattan (all New York, US), Workplace, Palmer Gallery, and Union Pacific (all London, UK), Franz Kaka (Toronto, CA), Pangée (Montréal, CA), Coulisse Gallery (Stockholm, SE), and WOAW Gallery (Hong Kong, CN). This is the artist’s first solo exhibition with Franz Kaka and her first in Toronto since 2018.
